Tips for the Perfect Baby Shower

Tips for the perfect baby shower that will leave the mother-to-be feeling extremely special.  There are so many creative ways to make a baby shower special that Food Inc. of Santa Barbara pulled together a list of games, crafts, decorations and food ideas. 

Games

Baby showers are about laughing, sharing and having fun before life gets a little crazier.  This list of games from Beau Coup will definitely have everyone laughing and smiling.    

Along with traditional games, set up a diaper raffle.  List the grand prize on the invites with an explanation of how the game is played; each diaper pack earns a guest one raffle ticket.  Now one person will go home with a special prize and the parents will have a nursery stocked with diapers.  

Crafts

Having the guests create something that will ultimately be both useful and sentimental works two ways.  One, the guests get to design something special for the baby and secondly, the parents-to-be get something memorable to help decorate the nursery or a keepsake that they will forever cherish.  Here are some ideas from the Craft Factory.

Decorations

A party theme, although not necessary, can bring a greater sense of celebration to the event.  Creativity and thoughtful touches will make the party special.  With or without a theme, avoid pastels.  Décor should be bright.  Flowers are notably appropriate for a celebration of birth.  

Food

A baby shower is the perfect time to get festive with food.
